Mission

Through energy therapies, Pranam offers a holistic approach that unites the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of health. By working with life energy we can improve people’s health and wellbeing and develop their capacity for self-healing. With humility, our divinity recognises your divinity. With love and wisdom we contribute to better health, peace and love in the world.

Mission

Pranam is made up of pra, “complete”, and nam, “salutation”. Place your hands, palms together, over your heart and say “Pranam”. This greeting, with the hands held in prayer, is an expression of reverence for God or for someone in whom the Divine is revealed. You can say Pranam or Namaste. This joining of the hands symbolises the meeting of two souls. Bowing and joining the hands symbolise humility. It means: “With deep reverence I bow to the all-loving, almighty and omnipresent God in you.” The act of bowing consists of placing the hands, palms pressed together, over the heart and then touching the forehead with the fingertips to express devotion to the person or to God. The hands symbolise activity, the heart symbolises love and the head wisdom. So a person who bows to another human being or to God symbolises, through this act of reverence: “My activity, my love and my mind are at your service.” (BG p. 1088) – Adapted from Yogananda.

“The divinity in me recognises and adores the divinity in you.”
