Salt bath

Salt bath

A salt bath is a cleansing technique used in the energy therapy system Pranic Healing, developed by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui. It combines the physical and energetic benefits of salt water with visualization and the intention of cleansing the energy body (aura) and physical body of diseased or depleted energies.

What is it?

A salt bath in energy or pranic healing involves immersing the body in water with dissolved salt. A few drops of essential oil can also be added. One such oil that promotes relaxation and helps cleansing is lavender essential oil, which can also be mixed with a carrier oil such as almond or jojoba oil.

This kind of bath:

– breaks down diseased or depleted energy,

– reduces stress and fatigue,

– cleanses and strengthens the aura and body,

– contributes to faster recovery in stressful situations and

– helps therapists recover more quickly after providing therapies.

How does it work?

We believe that salt breaks down and absorbs negative energy, while water helps wash it away. In energy or pranic healing, your energy body can accumulate stress, emotions or even illness, so the bath is a method of so-called energy hygiene.

Typical recipe

When using a bathtub:

  • 1-2 cups of salt (sea salt or rock salt; you can also use iodized salt if that is all that is available).
  • Warm water (enough to immerse most of your body).
  • Optional: 7-10 drops of essential oil (lavender for calming, tea tree for cleansing).

Duration: 20-30 minutes

After bathing: Rinse with clean water

When using a shower:

  • 1-2 cups of finely ground salt (sea salt or rock salt; you can also use iodized salt if that is all you have available).
  • Optional: 7-10 drops of essential oil (lavender for calming, tea tree for cleansing).
  • Coconut or another oil; shower gel can also be used.

Make a paste that can also be kept in a container, ready for the next application. First rinse the body, then apply a thin layer of paste all over the body (except areas such as the eyes and wounds) and leave it to work. Finally, rinse the body with water.

Duration: 3-5 minutes

Tips for use

  • Do not exfoliate while in the salt bath – let the salt work on your energy on its own.
  • Imagine dirty energy flowing out of your body and the salt neutralizing it.
  • You can use it before receiving energy therapy.
  • Avoid getting salt water in your eyes or on open wounds.

Caution

Not suitable for people with high blood pressure, open wounds or skin conditions aggravated by salt.

Energy-sensitive individuals may feel drained if they take these baths too often. This kind of salt bath is sufficient 2-3 times a week.

A salt bath is not enough to remove deeply rooted energy and problems. Energy therapy is needed to remove them.
